1 to 2 Weeks Before Your Wedding

    Confirm Seating Chart:

Look over your seating chart one last time and make sure you're satisfied with the arrangement. If you decide to make a change or two, don't forget to adjust your escort cards.

    Verify Final Payment Amounts:

Catch up with anyone who hasn't RSVP'd and give the final headcount to the caterer and venue. Take care of any remaining payments for vendors.

    Prepare Toasts:

Couples may ask the best man, maid of honor, and the parents to give a toast at their wedding. If you've already done so, remind your chosen speakers about their toasts. You and your partner should prepare to thank guests for celebrating your wedding with you.

Give Your Photographer a List of Photo Ideas:

Let your photographer know if there are any locations or details you want them to capture. Consider moments you really want to be caught on film that might occur throughout the day. There are some memories you'll want to cherish, such as your partner's emotions when they first look at you in your dress.

    Attend Your Last Alterations Appointment:

Ask your maid of honor to join you for your final fitting so they can get acquainted with your gown and learn everything they need to know. At the appointment, try on your gown and all of your accessories, including your shoes and veil. Ask questions regarding pre-wedding dress care.

    1 Week

The week before your wedding is filled with excitement. You'll soon be able to enjoy the fruits of your hard work as you celebrate with your partner, family, and friends. In the meantime, here's a checklist to get you through the final countdown without skipping a beat:

  • Pick up your dress or arrange for delivery.
  • Pack for your honeymoon.
  • Confirm your travel plans.
  • Have a final dress fitting if needed.
  • Pack an overnight bag for your wedding.
  • Touch up your hair color.
  • Get your eyebrows done.
  • Have your jeweler clean your engagement ring.
  • Practice your vows.
  • Put together welcome bags for guests staying at the hotel.
  • Print out your place cards and escort cards if you haven't yet done so.
  • How Can I Relax A Week Before My Wedding?

Managing stress can feel tricky when you're days away from getting married. Here are a few easy ways to evoke calmness during the most thrilling time of your life:

  • Exercise: Exercise is a great way to relieve stress. Take some time to do activities that you enjoy, such as going for a nature walk or a jog. Just make sure to stick to a routine you're used to because you don't want to pull any muscles or feel sore at your wedding.
  • . Pamper yourself: Treat yourself to a massage, curl up with a fun magazine and a cup of tea, or take a warm bubble bath. There are plenty of ways to pamper yourself, so make sure to squeeze some "me" time into your schedule -- you deserve it!
  • Meditate: Meditation can help you clear your mind whenever you start to feel overwhelmed. Simply focusing on your breathing for a few moments as you sit or lie in a comfortable position can melt your stress.
  • Jot down your feelings: Another way to get all of those overwhelming emotions out of your head is to jot them down. That way, you don't have to keep anything bottled up, and chances are, you'll feel better once you can see your thoughts on paper.
  • Ask others for help: Planning a wedding is undoubtedly a hefty task, but there's no need to handle it all on your own. Don't be afraid to reach out to friends and family members for assistance when you need a helping hand.
  • Stay in touch with your partner: If you're busy planning your wedding, you might not have much time left to spend with your soon-to-be spouse. Make sure to leave time for bonding with your fiancé and discussing your thoughts, concerns, and dreams.
