If you are planning a wedding on a budget, here are some workable and valuable tips to consider before placing your wedding invitation order:
A La Carte Pricing
Know that pricing for invitations is usually a la carte. You’ll pay a base price for invitations and envelopes and virtually everything else costs extra.
Order Count
Whatever paper style you select, plan to buy for the number of households, not the number of guests. You’ll most likely need just one invitation per address.
When you place your order, round up to the next lot size. Invitations are usually sold in lots of 25, 50, or 100 and larger lots are generally less expensive than smaller groups. For example, if you need 130 invitations, order 150.
Be frugal where possible
Look at your envelope options. Foil-lined envelopes are nice, but you can omit them to save money and still have a nice insert.
Try to consolidate your inserts. Unless you’re having a very formal wedding, you can skip the reception insert, especially if your ceremony and reception are at the same place. You can also have guests RSVP on your wedding website instead of including a separate insert to mail back.
